Follow your nose to the special Dick King-Smith afternoon!
This year marks the centenary of Dick King-Smith’s birth, and to celebrate, there will be a talk on Sunday 26th March at St Mary’s Church, Bampton, Oxfordshire.
Two of Dick’s children, Liz and Giles as well as Dick’s great granddaughter Josie Rogers, will be there to talk about Dick’s amazing life story and writing career, read some of his stories and answer questions.
Recently, Liz discovered an unknown manuscript in a box of Dick’s things, hidden away in her attic. The family read it, but decided that Dick must have left it unfinished for some reason and moved onto the next story. We decided that this was a great tale and deserved and ending, so we passed it to Dick’s great granddaughter Josie Rogers, who completed the story in a unique collaboration that has resulted in Ambrose Follows His Nose being published by Puffin!
If you’re in the Bampton area, we’d love you to come and join us and get your copy of Ambrose signed by Josie!
